We know it has been a little while since we posted but I guess you can say 2020 is shaping up to be a full book, and not just a small chapter in the middle of some random history textbook our future child will read about. Over the last few weeks we have been doing our best to make the most of our quarantine time.
My Etsy shop is live and totally ramping up, so anyone who has ordered already, thank you so much! This week we sold by word of mouth 35 decals, before I could even post them! The last 3 weeks, we had a friend purchase a Senior 2020 Quarantined decal for a friend, who then posted it to what seems like her entire high school! We restocked ourselves twice to keep us with those orders! It has been awesome. I am working on adding new items this week to my shop.
We have been able to put all of the Etsy money directly to our savings account, which has been such a blessing. Adding our stimulus money to this has really given our goals a boost!
We have also been a bit busy house hunting! We are blessed that we have no deadline to meet or timeline to follow. When the right home or land pops up we are ready to take it, but are not willing to settle for something that is not exactly what we want.
As for our adoption goal we are still moving along. It is all down to money at this point. I hate that we have to put it that way or even allow money to dictate when we have a child in our home, but that is sadly the facts. Fortunately we are saving, Brandon got a raise, we are stuck inside and trying our best to stay off of amazon prime! THIS GOAL IS GOING TO BECOME A REALITY! We will make this work!
We have recently discussed the option of foster to adopt, the verdict is still out. It is risky to take this route because there is a chance the child would be returned to its biological family, before an adoption would be finalized. The risk here is for our hearts, letting go of a child you have loved and prayed for is not something we are sure we can prepare for.
If you have a moment today, share our etsy link and say a prayer for us. We are doing all we can to make our dreams a reality, and hope to bring you all along with us.
Our prayers are with you all as we navigate a new normal in this ever changing world. This morning while I was looking for a sweet 16 gift for a family member, I stumbled across this scripture:
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Philippians 4:6
Now more then ever we are relying on God to provide for and shelter us.
If you made it this far in my ramblings have an awesome day! I will post our etsy link below!
